Knights of Columbus, Father Brian McKee Council 1387, again supports the Sam Bruno Petscanner at Health Science North. Council 1387 is committed to have the Petscanner available to everyone in Northeastern Ontario with their annual donation of $1,000.00.

Petscan- 2015

Knights of Columbus Father Brian McKee Council 1387 assists 5 churches in the area and approximately 20 charities in the Sudbury Community for the past 105 years.

The annual golf tournament sponsored by Knights of Columbus Father Brian McKee Council 1387 supporting Inner City Home  held on June 28th at Pinegrove Golf Course, raised $4,000.00 for this great event supporting the good works  of Inner City Homes’ Programs and Counselling Services that assist those less fortunate in our Community.

It was a fun day for all who participated and ended with a terrific steak dinner as well as many great prizes being handed out that had been generously donated by local businesses. We are truly grateful for their continued support

Knights of Columbus Father Brian McKee Council 1387 presents

Daniele Muscolini, the only seminarian in the Diocese of Sault Ste Marie, with their annual check of $1,000.00.

Shown in photo from  the left  is Grand Knight Steve Yawney, Chaplain Father Marian Struc with  Daniel Muscolini, in centre, who  will receive his Diaconate on Friday June 5th and will be ordained as a Priest, next year.

Father Brian McKee Council 1387 looks forward to his ordination and has been proud to support him while in the Seminary.

Council 1387 Assists Sveti Marko Church

Father Brian McKee Council 1387 is now supporting Sveti Marko Church. This brings the number of churches in our area that we will be assisting to five churches.

This is the first mandate of the works  of the Knights of Columbus —  to be available to assist churches in our community.

Father Brian McKee Council 1387 has been awarded the prestige Church Award by our Supreme Council.

This honor is only presented to councils who have demonstrated their utmost support for their local churches.

Council 1387 has surpassed their responsibility by installing three cameras to stream Masses and all religious events at Christ the King Church.

As a fraternal organization of Catholic men we have shown strong ties to four churches St. Mary’s. Our Lady of Hope, St. Anthony’s and Christ the King.

Through the sponsoring of Church-related activities our members continue to show that we are the strong right arm of the church.

Knights of Columbus Father Brian McKee Council 1387 presents Daniel Muscolini, the only seminarian in the Diocese of Sault Ste Marie, with their annual check of $1,000.00.

KofC Council 1387 has been involved in our community since 1909 supporting our church and our community.

Fr. Brian McKee, Knights of Columbus Council 1387, is pleased to present a cheque in the amount of $3,500.00 to Father Brian Dixon, Parish Priest of Christ the King Church, to assist the churches major capital program.

Fr. Brian McKee Council is committed to provide financial assistance to four parishes within our catchment’s area and supports approximately 25  charitable groups in the community.

PRESENTATION TO CHRIST THE KING#2

The Knights of Columbus welcomed its new Deputy Supreme Knight and Supreme Treasurer, a new Supreme Director, and the new Assistant to the Supreme Knight for Canadian Affairs on December 12.

The Knights of Columbus board of directors elected:

Logan Ludwig as Deputy Supreme Knight. Deputy Supreme Knight Ludwig had previously served as Supreme Treasurer.
Michael O’Connor as Supreme Treasurer. Supreme Treasurer O’Connor had previously served as Assistant Supreme Advocate.
Natale Gallo as Assistant to the Supreme Knight for Canadian Affairs. Supreme Director Gallo is a past state deputy of Ontario.
Patrick Kelly to the board as a Supreme Director. Supreme Director Kelly is the Order’s Vice President for Public Policy, Executive Director of the Blessed John Paul II Shrine, and immediate past state deputy of Washington, D.C.

In welcoming his brother Knights to their new roles, Supreme Knight Carl Anderson said: “All of these men are proven leaders of our Order, and each brings great strengths to his new position – strengths with which they will continue to build the future of the Knights of Columbus.”
